SEP 28TH - NOV 30TH MONDAYS 9:30-11:30
A 10-Week Journey into Contact, Floorwork & Instant Composition
About the Course
This 10-week module explores the dynamic intersection between contemporary dance technique and Contact Improvisation (CI). Rather than treating them as separate disciplines, we approach them as complementary practices: contemporary dance provides spatial awareness, fluid floorwork, and dynamic range, while CI offers the listening, weight-sharing, and organic dialogue necessary for authentic partnering.
November 26 till 29
This indoor festival is an invitation to explore movement, improvisation and performance. With Contact Improvisation as our starting point, we investigate presence, touch, weight, listening, composition and play; discovering how movement and encounters can become performance.
Each morning, Kenzo Kusuda opens a new exploration through his poetic and deeply embodied approach to movement and presence. In the afternoons, Raúl Saldarriaga takes the practice further into Contact Improvisation, composition and performance.
The evenings bring everyone together for jams, performances and shared practice; a space to experiment, dance, witness and put the day’s discoveries into motion.
We share movement, meals, conversations and experiences, creating a temporary community around improvisation and performance.
Open to experienced practitioners and newcomers alike. Come to move, meet, eat, witness, experiment and create together.
May 14-17 2027
Join us for a rich and playful Contact Improvisation gathering where jamming is central. We dance, explore, and connect through shared movement, guided by touch, trust, and timing.
With amazing food available and a few fixed mealtimes, you're free to move, rest, and nourish yourself on your own rhythm.
No formal classes, no pressure. We’ll have a few gentle gathering points like morning circles, sharing spaces, and tuning-ins to help us ground and connect, offering moments to align with the group and drop deeper into the mindset of jamming.

Three teachers, each bringing a unique perspective and a practice in both partnering and choreography, will lead the process. Each teacher will offer two classes, and on the final day, we will bring all the work together in one single piece — one final variation that unifies the three perspectives.
