A Performance Series at Studio Vredenburgh

The Vision

Improvisation to Stage is a collaborative performance project curated by Casagrafías. It is born from a desire to explore the immediate, the unscripted, and the raw energy of movement.

By bringing together a rotating collective of seasoned dancers, we transform Studio Vredenburgh into a laboratory of spontaneous creation. Our goal is to dissolve the barrier between the performer and the observer, inviting the audience to witness the messy, beautiful process of dance as it happens in real-time.

The Format & Dynamics

Each event is the result of a deliberate gathering of artists. While the movement is entirely improvised, the sessions are structured through a unique framework:

Facilitated Research: Casagrafías guides the collective through specific thematic anchors to ensure a cohesive energy and artistic depth.

Shared Intention: Before the doors open, dancers engage in a private session to align on the "rules of play" for the evening.

Intimate Atmosphere: Performed in the heart of the studio, these sessions are designed for a close-knit audience, fostering a unique connection between the space and the bodies within it.
