Instant Composition – dance improvisation into performance
Tuesday 19:00-21:30 – course starts in Feb 2026
This Dance Improvisation into performance course offers structured training in improvisational movement and performance practice.
Participants will work with tools such as embodied awareness, compositional skills, listening, responsiveness, and group dynamics. Classes include guided improvisations, technical research, and collective exploration aimed at developing clarity, presence, and creative decision-making in the moment.
A core group will be formed for the duration of the course. Participants who commit to the full trajectory will take part in a final improvised performance presented to an audience. This requires continuity, responsibility, and active engagement with the group process.
Participants who are unable to attend the full course are welcome to join individual classes. These sessions provide insight into the training and creative process involved in building an improvised performance, without participation in the final showing.
Raul and Tom invite you to join this group and create together.
In order to join the course and the group you will need to fill the form and share your motivation and experience with us – Preference will be given to those who wish to commit to the full trajectory.

What is Dance Improvisation?
Dance improvisation is a complete and full world of exploration of the body and your creativity in dance. It allows us to go into the body, talk and express ourselves in a non verbal way and find new ways to relate to other people, to our inner wishes and also to time, space and movement on stage. It can be enjoyed by anyone who wish to find the dancer within. In its highest level, Dance Improvisation is a delicate art, a meditation, a joy and a beautiful way to explore your true self and share it with other people.
Improvisation is the way we learn about the world. Before we had patterns of movement and behavior we were playing with all possibilities and finding our own way in the world. In dance improvisation we try to keep our sensitivity open to new experience and not to be locked in our usual movement and patterns. We try to break patterns of behavior and expand beyond them. Dance Improvisation is a wonderful way to make your consciousness bigger to the surrounding and to grow your understanding of your own body and mind. Improvisation in its highest form is pure awareness – to dance, to your own self, to others and to everything that is happening.
