Coast 2 Core is a multi-day journey at the Southwest of Portugal, Fishermen’s Trail; where we explore the connection between body, mind, and nature. Through hiking, personal leadership sessions, Kundalini yoga, contact improvisation, and play fighting, we invite participants to inhabit the present, rediscover themselves, and prepare for the next step in their lives.

A powerful journey for calmness, focus and personal growth in nature.

Our program combines three practical, accessible methods; Kundalini yoga, personal leadership training and contact improvisation, with a multi-day hike, with cold water dips, on the Fisherman’s Trail from Odeceixe to Sagres. You carry your own backpack, move through rugged coastal landscapes, breathe in the ocean air and feel more space opening up, both literally and figuratively.

Kundalini yoga, meditaion & mantra

Practicing Kundalini yoga outdoors helps you release tension and activate your energy. The movements, breathing and repetition of simple sounds calms your mind and gives your body more resilience. You don’t need any experience; the exercises are accessible to everyone. The only thing you need is an open mind. 

Personal leadership brings you back to yourself

During the journey, we guide you in gaining clarity about what you need, where you are and where you want to go. The personal leadership sessions helps you translate insights from your mind and body into concrete choices in your daily life and work.

Contact improvisation

Through simple, playful movement exercises with others, you discover how you respond, how you connect and how you claim your own space. It strengthens body awareness, trust and collaboration  in a light and safe way, without needing to know how to dance.

Play fighting

Play fighting, is a, natural, energetic activity involving physical contact, like wrestling or chasing, without the intent to cause injury. Common in humans and many mammals, it acts as a tool for developing social skills, emotional regulation, physical strength, and boundary-setting. It is characterized by reciprocity, where participants alternate roles and monitor intensity to maintain a safe, fun environment.  

Hiking with your own backpack 

This is an experience that sets things in motion. The Fisherman’s Trail is one of the most beautiful coastal paths in Europe. By hiking with your own backpack, you literally feel what you’re carrying, what you can let go of and how much strength you actually have. Nature and extended physical activity are known for their stress-reducing effects: your system settles, your mind clears and your energy begins to flow again.

Movement, breathing and being outdoors calms your nervous system and clears your mind. Yoga, mantra's and meditation helps to get in your own rhythm. And helps organize your thoughts and releases tension. Contact and collaboration strengthens connection and self-confidence. Personal leadership ensures that insights don’t evaporate but truly land. Nature and carrying your own backpack creates a deep, physical sense of direction, strength and autonomy.
